Best Settings for Designing your Logo in Canva

Better art = better prints. Here are the settings to make sure your logo design looks good when printed.

First off, the "logo" default size is way too small to use anything Raster. If you want to use photos, or any raster(pixel based) artwork like photos, clipart, illustrations, you're going to need way more pixels, you're gonna need at least 10x more if you want it looking sharp when printed.

Select "Custom Size" and make it 5000px x 5000px

In the Workspace some of this artwork is raster and some is vector, vector is best and Canva has a lot to choose from. The templates are vector. More info on Raster vs Vector HERE

Graphics in the collections are vector.

Text is vector.

If you upload things, I recommend only uploading SVG(lots of free options online) and Hi-res images 5000px+ or 300DPI

The highlighter, and pen tools are also vector, so free draw all you want :)

When you're done go to "File" > "Download"

Select "PDF Print"

Use These Settings:

And that's It!

The larger resolution from the custom size will accommodate photos and keep your artwork from getting too pixelating (assuming the original was high res too)
and it keeps the vector artwork vector, which is ideal for printing.
